The OHL, founded in 2002, is a
recreational, ‘C’ level hockey league that competes year round at
the Space City Ice Station. During 3 full seasons per year,
the OHL provides skaters with evenly matched teams, maximum team
sizes of 13 skaters to ensure players lots of ice time, and a great
social environment both on and off of the ice. Players of all skill
levels are encouraged join the OHL and enjoy the truly unique hockey
environment the league provides.
The Old
Hounds League consists of 8-10 co-ed hockey teams
competing each season for the right to hoist the Stonely
Cup, the Space City Ice Station’s oldest and most revered trophy.
Each and every hockey player is given
an equal chance to win the Stonely Cup, because every
skater is evaluated, rated, and placed on a team
according to a rating system designed to create equality
across the league. Hockey players will not find a more
competitive, yet equitable league anywhere in Houston,
TX.
The Old
Hounds Hockey League plays on Sunday evenings, and
players have been known to assess their competition from
the viewing area of the
Top
Shelf Bar, located upstairs at the Space City Ice
Station. So, while skaters enjoy the best ice times in
Houston, they can also enjoy the company of the most
diverse and unique group of hockey players anywhere.
The Old Hounds League is for any adult hockey player
looking for a great time. |
